The urban Dowhill competition returns to town with more adrenaline. After the great success of the first edition in 2017, Down Puerto Vallarta returns to descend at full speed and with extreme emotions through the streets of downtown Puerto Vallarta on May 12th and 13th. The first day will be for athletes to train and test, and the competition will be the next.
It will feature slopestyle, downhill and freestyle, the latter two will be awarded a total incentive of $16,000 USD.
The activities will be performed on a 900-meter track that goes from the top of the “Cerro de la Cruz” lookout point through pedestrian walkways, stairs and residential areas to the seafront at the “Rotonda del Mar de Colunga”, where they will install an area with mega ramps to compete for Best Trick.
There will be 40 cyclists from 12 different nationalities, including Mexico, the United States, Brazil, England and France. This weekend, there will be a qualifier where five national athletes will get their pass to be in the competition.
