Hotel Posada de Roger is located on the iconic Basilio Badillo in Old Town in the Zona Romantica (Romantic Zone), one of the most privileged areas of Puerto Vallarta. Our proximity to typical Mexican villages, as well as the many beautiful beaches on the Mexican Pacific, makes for a great base for exploring them.
Sayulita:
In the coastal state of Nayarit, Sayulita is a beach paradise you cannot miss. North of Puerto Vallarta in the Bay of Banderas, this taste of paradise is adorned with the beauty of the sea, the vigor of the cliffs, rivers, lagoons and marshes full of marine life, placid beaches, white sand, and lush, verdant flora. Its cobblestone streets and modest homes are well kept and arranged, and tasteful small kiosko (shops) next to Temple Square make this an excellent place for rest and reflection.
From the surrounding hills you’ll have a magnificent view of the town and its surroundings: the miracle of its white beaches, warm sunsets, the sounds emanating from the jungle and gradually fading with the last rays of the sun, men returning from their farming plots with happy faces after a good day.
You’ll find excellent hotels and fine seafood restaurants, and you can camp on the beach safely. It’s also an ideal destination for family trips—and if this were not enough, a strategic point for whale-watching during the winter, because this is where many of these huge whales stop in their annual great migration from northern waters.
HOW TO GET THERE:
If you are in downtown Puerto Vallarta near the Hotel Posada de Roger, take a blue bus to Wal-Mart passing the Francisco Medina Asencio, then you’ll take a second bus at Wal-Mart to Sayulita—in about an hour and a half, you’ll be there, ready for the splendor of its beaches.
